Ensemble Information Sheet
Regular Ensemble (i.e.: 9 students or less, meeting twice per month throughout the year) fees are $50 per month.
Special Ensemble (the concert band, revue cast, etc.) fees will be adjusted according to their rehearsal schedules and participation levels.
No ensemble fees are refunded for absences!!!
Students participating in more than one regular ensemble will not be charged more than the $50 per month regular ensemble fee. Special ensembles are billed as an additional fee.
Students may request to join any group, but the final decision on ensemble personnel is made by the group’s teacher(s) based on many factors, including proficiency on their instrument, positive attitude and effort. Requests for entrance into any ensemble should be made early in the term or the student may have to be put on a waiting list.
Ensemble members must exhibit a high level of preparation and musicianship in order to maintain their position in their group. Punctuality is expected! Although it is a rare occurrence, members not meeting these requirements may be replaced at the discretion of the group’s teacher(s).
As a result of the excellence shown by these ensembles, they are all featured acts in our annual recital!
Examples of our Ensembles:
“The Furies” -a 7 piece high-energy rock band
“Revolving Door” -a 6 piece horn band (currently ages 13 – 22)
“Elemeno” -a 5 piece rock band
“Concert Band” -a traditional 40 piece concert band
“Flute Choirs“ -2 groups (Senior and Junior Choirs) performing classical flute repertoire
